Hello.

Gone and done it.  Joined forces and fetched up a blogaroo, for all the cats in Tsk Tsk to do whatever they want with.  Don't really even know how this thing works.  So I guess I'll just type some things.  I hope the others do too.

I just attempted to upload some extremely old songs to our myspace, and accidentally uploaded some old French lessons instead.  Twice.  I suppose having the old songs up just ain't meant to be.  Anywhoo, hearing the French recordings triggered a memory of sxsw road trip last year.  We were on the road for 30-something hours straight, and we would sometimes listen to and recite french tapes (on the ipod) created by my old magnifique professor.  Katia caught us on film enunciating french words while dancing in the van and throwing back slurpees or whatever.  And then I got all nostalgic for good, silly times on the road.  I love watching footage of bands (I love) on tour and the crazy antics that generally come along with it.  Lately I have been living vicariously through my roommate who has quite amazing footage of his band on tour.  Oh, and their new record is totally going to blow minds and melt faces.  The first time i heard a mix, i felt both blown away and slightly impotent.  It rips.  Anyway, back to tales of the road.  I miss that breath of life and need to be on it as soon as possible.

I did get some lovely breaths in last night when we played a killer show at our friend's warehouse with Tweak Bird, Ancestors and Balloon.  It was radical.  We played a gig with Tweak Bird before, back in November, and I was so floored by their band that I then wrote this lil' review of 'em at Buddyhead.  Anyway, they owned it last night.  We back 'em hard.  The place was packed, and it was so rad to watch so many people lose their shit and freak out over them.  It gave me a lil' feeling.  Good-things-are-happening.  I can't say it enough...go see them if you haven't already... there are some things words aren't good for.

Anyway, after being blown away by musical epic-ness and too much coca-cola, it was time to do the fun loading / unloading thing.  It was around three a.m. when we headed over to the practice space, where a dude was hanging out in his gargantuan pickup truck out front.  I didn't really think anything of it at the time.  So we unloaded some shit and were all ready to take the monitors and mixing board upstairs, when Cheryl said, "That dude is all methed out and being sketchy... he just asked us for money.... we should hurry up..."  I believe I was replying mid-sentence and had my back turned, when a stunned Sean quietly said, "He just hit your car."  Yay!!!!  That's what the picture up top is.  My car right after the tripper slammed into it.  I don't really know how to use this blog thing yet, so I don't know how to put that photo down here.  I don't really want to talk about the lil' incident anymore, so that is that.

Hopefully we will have new music up, some day.
